Media transcripts

Paste a video or podcast link (YouTube, Bilibili, a podcast episode, an audio file URL), or upload a media file, and waper produces a transcript plus bilingual summary.

Fast lane vs slow lane

Lane Wait Cost
Fast Minutes Per minute: 1 credit/min with platform subtitles, 8 credits/min for AI transcription
Slow Queued on owned compute Free — daily quota by plan (Free 60 / Personal 300 / Pro 600 min)

Each link is transcribed once: a video someone already processed is reused — no repeat transcription cost. If a summary doesn't exist in your language yet, one is generated at actual model cost.

What you get

  • Overview: what the piece says in one paragraph;
  • Key points: bulleted, each with a timestamp link that jumps to that second;
  • Chapters: thematic sections;
  • Transcript: searchable, copyable by time range, exportable as Markdown/SRT. Transcripts are proofread for typos and filler without changing order or meaning.

Media in briefs

Videos and podcasts picked into a brief get transcripts filled in behind the scenes (not charged to you), and the entry's summary is rewritten from the transcript.

Ask about transcripts

Ask questions on the media page or in the assistant — citations carry timestamp links like [12:30]. Transcripts are readable through the assistant, MCP and the API.

Limits

User-initiated transcriptions have a per-file cap by plan (Free 60 / Personal 180 / Pro 240 minutes). Subscription-sourced background transcriptions are uncapped. Uploads follow the same cap.
