Assistant & memory

waper's assistant is your information agent: it reads your briefs and library, answers questions, remembers your preferences, and writes documents and deep research.

Opening the assistant

"Ask the agent" in the corner (⌘J), or the capture box on Today — paste a link, ask a question, describe what to watch.

What it can do

  • Answer: only from brief items, documents and transcripts it actually retrieved, with numbered citations — never invented sources;
  • Remember: say "I prefer short answers" or "I'm tracking solid-state batteries" and it writes that to memory — visible and editable in Settings;
  • Write documents: turn a week of progress into a document, or run multi-source deep research;
  • Edit documents: suggestion mode by default, or skip approvals;
  • Create watches: describe what to watch, it proposes and you approve;
  • Transcribe media: paste a link, get a credit quote first.

Memory

Agent memory lives in Settings → Agent → memory. It remembers what you care about, how you like answers, which companies you follow — not passwords or one-off requests.

Email conversation

Every account gets a dedicated agent address (agent+<token>@waper.ai, shown in Settings). Email it from your registered address and it replies. Forwarded newsletters land in your library too.

Cost

Conversations charge actual model cost in credits (1 credit = $0.0003): a simple question costs a few credits, deep research tens. Details under Billing.

Privacy

The assistant's context comes only from your own spaces, watches and library. It can't see other users' data; private watches never feed public briefs.
