Inbox and approvals

The inbox is where your agent comes to find you: when it needs a decision, or has a result for you, it lands here. It keeps these things in one place, so you don't have to dig through conversations.

What's in it

  • Things waiting for your decision: when your agent wants to do something that needs your OK, it stops and puts a card at the top of the list.
  • Finished work: research and video or podcast work that took a while, the result of each automation run, and notices when an automation didn't finish, was paused or reached its end date. Work that didn't finish is marked "Failed" with the reason.
  • Reminders: when an alert you set is met.
  • Suggestions: ideas from your agent, with a "Start watching" or "Ask" button.
  • Notices: system messages such as credits and invite rewards.

Daily briefs are not in the inbox. Unread briefs are counted only on Radar.

Opening and filtering

  1. Select the inbox icon at the top right. It shows a dot when something is unread or waiting for you; with the sidebar collapsed, the dot sits on the expand button.
  2. The small panel lists things waiting for you first, then the 6 most recent items. Select one to go to what it points to. To see everything, select Open inbox at the bottom.
  3. On the full page, use the filters at the top: All, Needs you, Finished, Reminders. Suggestions and notices are only under "All".

Handling an item

  • Select an item to open what it points to; it is marked read at the same time.
  • Select ✓ (Done) or ✗ (Dismiss) at the end of the row to take it off the list. Select Undo in the notice within a few seconds to bring it back.
  • Keys, with focus in the list: J / K or the up and down arrows to move, O or Enter to open, E to mark done.

Answering something that needs you

  1. Read the card's title and the line under it: what your agent will do, and whether it changes your content, sends outside waper, spends credits, runs a command on your computer, or can't be undone. If it costs credits, it says "Uses about N credits".
  2. Select Approve and it goes ahead; select Decline and it doesn't, and your agent knows you declined.
  3. Some cards also have "Don't ask again for this". Leave it ticked when you approve and that kind of action stops asking you. It is a checkbox: it is empty on cards for commands on your computer and ticked on the others, so look at it before you approve and untick it if you don't want it. It isn't offered after your agent has read outside content. The rule is only saved once the action has run successfully, and you can delete it later under "Rules" on the Agent page.
  4. With no response for 7 days, the action is treated as declined.

You can answer the same card in any of these places, and once you answer in one, it disappears from the others:

  • the conversation it came from;
  • "Needs you" on Home, and the inbox;
  • the details page you open from a progress card;
  • the Approve / Decline buttons in Telegram (there is no "Don't ask again for this" there);
  • a phone browser, which works the same way.

When an automation stops halfway to ask you, its card is here too. The rules for that are in Automations.
